After all, breathing 80 feet underwater while swimming beside turtles, fish-and yes, even sharks-takes a bit of getting used to. Once I finally descended though, my mind blew open.ĭiving the Bloody Bay Wall taught me the importance of patience in an acclimation process, as opposed to running from resistance. So much so, I had to abort my first dive completely. Not having dove for a few years, I had trouble equalizing the pressure in my ears at first. Yet, this Little Cayman scuba diving adventure challenged me like crazy, too. Totally immersed in a soundless, ocean cocoon, watching technicolor clouds of sea life swim by-a sorely needed reboot. In fact, I spent the holiday break literally learning how to breathe better underwater while on a scuba diving expedition with my husband. After the intense energy of 2018, most of us were more than ready for an extended holiday break. Happy New Year! The new moon solar eclipse in Capricorn, happening at 15 degrees of the goat on January 5th at 8:28 pm ET, is our first new moon and the first eclipse of the year.
